Our Story

​

JP and Makenna started dating in June 2023 after meeting online. They quickly fell in love over their mutual passions of science, education, and nature. It was fitting that their first date was at a trivia night at a local bar. They have traveled across the country from California to Florida to Mississippi to Hawaii eager to see the world together. From early morning fishing trips (where JP typically lets Makenna outfish him) to road trips to Indiana to see a total solar eclipse to late nights with the aurora and fireflies, they love experiencing the natural wonders of the world together. JP proposed in December 2025 and after a short engagement, they got married in a small, private ceremony in January 2026.
