Evolution of Color
The Dyeing Poison Frog (Dendrobates tinctorius) is found throughout the Guiana Shield in northern South America. This species has an impressive radiation of colors and patterns that are all meant to warn predators of their toxicity. While some of the photos here are from wild frogs, most of these frogs are captive bred. I would sincerely like to thank Josh's Frogs for allowing me the opportunity to photograph their frogs.

Salamanders of the Southern Appalachians
The Appalachian Mountains are the source of greatest diversity in the world for salamanders, with some of the greatest diversity occurring in the southern Appalachians of Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Georgia. While not exhaustive, this collage is a composite of some of the species found in those areas.
